Hello everyone! It’s been quite cool these past few weeks watching the subscription numbers on the rise and hearing from new listeners. And I’ve been surprised at the broad distribution that we’ve gotten: Australia, Singapre, Dubai, UK, USA, Taiwan, etc.;?( reads like a list of places that I’d like to go visit).
As?earlier posted,?I had planned on having a new episode out already, however I’ve come down with a “Lungenentzuendung” - literally translated means “Lung Infection” but I’m told it is actually pnemonia. In any case, it’s had me laid out for the past week and slowly getting back to my feet this week. Slowly and slowly I’m getting better, so it’s only a matter of days till I put out the 10th episode.
Many thanks for all of your kind words and to those who have voted in the survey (see the right sidebar under “Specials”). Looking forward to talking to you soon!

This is a little video that I just put together which will eventually act as a kind of welcome message for the homepage. I’ve had a few bugs in getting it to work in the sidebar (to the right) as I had origionally intended, so I thought that I would just post it as a blog post for you to enjoy.
Let me know what you think and please take a second to fill-out the survey (it’s only 1 question folks!!). Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sorry for the long wait folks. We’ve had a full house for several weeks now and I’ve been doing some serious business traveling. But here we are, back for another episode!
This time we are talking about eating out in Germany. Yes, there are fantastic restaurants to enjoy in Germany, and yes, there are a few things you should be aware of when visiting them. By the time you have listened to the podcast you should be able to answer the following questions with no problem what-so-ever:
- it is polite to keep your hands in your lap when dining in Germany. TRUE or FALSE
- you must wait to be seated at most German restaurants. TRUE or FALSE
- you can expect to get as many free refills of water and coffee as you want. TRUE or FALSE
- The “Stammtisch” is the perfect place to sit when no other tables are free. TRUE or FALSE
